The present Сlosed joint-stock company "Bobruiskmebel" was considered at all times as the advanced plant to which the accurate knowledge of requirements of consumers and orientation to the newest industrial technologies made it possible to work stably and effectively in difficult economic conditions.

Our furniture is in great demand not only at the domestic market, but also at the foreign market: in Germany, France, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Russian Federation, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and other countries. Practically in each Belarus corner it is possible to see case furniture, sleeping furniture, the sets of upholstered furniture, which are created by experts of Joint-Stock Company "Bobruiskmebel".

   The furniture factory (Bobruisk, Novoshosseynaya street, 2) was found in 1924 … At first it wasn’t the factory. It was absolutely small workshop with three departments: joinery, mechanical and upholstering departments. Only 45 persons worked at the factory. They began the history of the factory … From year to year, from the first days of the existence, factory, bearing a name of revolutionary Stepan Halturin, became wider, and started the production of new goods.

   In the end of 1940, on the eve of the Great Patriotic War, the factory stopped the release of every day production and it was begun production of goods for defense. In the first post-war years it was necessary to revive furniture manufacture. By the end of 1944 the engine-room, the drying department, the assembly and finishing shops and the mechanical workshop have been restored and started up. In 1945 in all 258 workers were. But they have managed to start manufacture and to begin producing of furniture for the ruined in the years of the war republic. In 1948 the factory had the pre-war level of production of furniture.

   1971 is the beginning of main recesses at the factory. The furniture factory of a name of Halturin became as a branch of timber association "Bobrujskdrev". It has given more possibilities for technical for factory modernization. The worn out, obsolete equipment was gradually replaced with new high-efficiency lines and machine tools. By 1973 new capacities in an equivalent of 7,5 million dollars were placed in operation. 9 conveyor-product lines, 19 semiautomatic devices, 5 new technological processes were established, and three furniture plots were mechanized completely. All factory technological processes were gradually improved, were introduced more progressive materials. It was mastered new methods of furniture without preliminary assembly.

   In August, 1990 according to the order of Minlesbumprom the Bobruisk industrial furniture association "Bobrujskmebel" has been created. Same year there is begun building of factory case and upholstered furniture (later - upholstered furniture factory), which has been ended in 1994. At that time there were the first independent steps of the factory. In April, 1992 Bobruisk industrial furniture association "Bobrujskmebel" was privatized. And all property of the factory was the property of the workers. As a result of it national association "Bobrujskmebel" began to function.

   Since May, 15th 2000 public association "Bobrujskmebel" was transformed to Joint-Stock Company "Bobruiskmebel", and the pattern of ownership was changed. During the years of independent development the Closed joint-stock company "Bobruiskmebel" has turned to the modern hi-tech and automated manufacture, which can compete with the similar enterprises abroad.

   Every year we take part in republican and international exhibitions of furniture, we releases more than 500 names of the case and upholstered furniture, which are made at high qualitative and art level.
